In the September issue of our News & Updates Bulletin we are proud to announce that our TED Ageing Betting in East Lindsey Programme has been selected as a finalist in the Innovation Award category at the Lincolnshire Live Business Awards 2019 and our CEO, Gail Jackson, has reached the final in the Business Person of the Year category. The awards ceremony takes place in October.

Our Good Neighbour Scheme project continues to make progress around the county and if you use oil to heat your home or premises you might be interested in joining our free Community Oil Buying Scheme; our next order deadline date in midnight on Tuesday 8th October.

In Community Facility News you might be interested in having a textile bank in your community building, to help raise much needed funds for the Children’s Air Ambulance.

Lincolnshire Fostering Service is looking for more people to offer long-term foster care to a child or young person and is asking if community buildings would be prepared to display an poster to promote the service.

The TED Ageing Better in East Lindsey programme is holding a multi-location event on Tuesday 1st October to celebrate National Older Person’s Day, with events taking place in Horncastle, Louth, Mablethorpe and Skegness.

In Other News Abbey Access Training and Green Synergy are offering people the chance to gain skills in gardening and landscaping with the view to turning it into a career and there is Quiz Night fun at the Solo Bar in Sleaford to raise funds for Sleaford in Bloom’s winter/spring planting. Find out more about the Bright Ideas Fund which supports new community business ideas through the start-up and planning stages with grants of up to £15,000.
