It is with great sadness that we received the news that our friend and colleague, David Dickinson, has passed away suddenly.
David was a valued member of our Trustee Board for a number of years and made a significant contribution to our work in supporting communities across Lincolnshire.
Gail Jackson, CEO, said on behalf of the staff at Community Lincs, “David was a strong supporter of the staff at our charity – never failing to attend every staff meeting, even after he had retired as a Board member. He was also a tremendous support to me personally when I started with Community Lincs, and a great friend to us all. We will miss him dearly.”
Lorraine Bellis, Chair of the Board, remembers David, “Community Lincs has benefitted tremendously from David’s commitment and support. His wise counsel, his knowledge and his warm humour will be greatly missed by us all. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this sad time.”
David worked tirelessly throughout Sleaford, North Kesteven and Lincolnshire as a district and county councillor. He joined Community Lincs in 2009 and since 2018 represented the board as an honorary Vice-President at staff meetings and events.
