How Neighbourhood Plans Help

This is an opportunity to learn more about the Neighbourhood Planning process, the benefits of undertaking one,  the potential challenges and how to overcome them; the process to be completed, what support there is to help with the process, what funding is available and most importantly local examples from communities who are at various stages of completing their plans.

meetingThis free half day event is designed to help local community forums or parish and town councils across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire who are considering undertaking or are in the early stages of completing a Neighbourhood Plan. It is also for those Local Authority Officers and Councillors who have a responsibility or interest in the Neighbourhood Planning process in their area, together with other stakeholders who are providing support to Neighbourhood Planning Groups.

Key Speakers

Key speakers will include a senior representative from the Dept. of Communities & Local Government, an officer from a Local Planning Authority and representatives from local communities undertaking Neighbourhood Planning.

When and Where

The event is being held on Thursday 17th March 2016 10.00am to 2.45pm at The Guildhall Arts Centre, Grantham, Lincolnshire. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

      The Road Show was a one off event funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government with the aim of promoting the benefits of Neighbourhood Planning and increase the uptake of communities preparing a plan.
      Through our consultancy service we are able to run bespoke workshops for communities interested in the process.
