• Know someone who could do with getting out of the house more?
  • Or a friend whose social circle is not what it used to be?
  • Or someone new to your community?

Bring them along to a Community Cuppa event to find out more about what’s going on in the local area.

The Community Cuppa events are designed to build connections between people in communities around Lincolnshire, helping tackle loneliness and social isolation.

At a recent cuppa in September, one participant told us “This is a brilliant idea for people to go out and have a chat, everyone needs someone to talk to and more importantly someone to listen!  Thank you”.

All the events in October are taking place in a local community venue and will be hosted by Community Lincs staff and colleagues from Lincolnshire Co-op.

There will be hot drinks served, plus cakes and fruit, all provided by the local Lincolnshire Co-op food store.

Organisers of the Community Cuppa events are also looking for small local groups to join in and bring information to the events so they can tell local people more about what they offer – and hopefully get more participants involved.

The next event in October will be on Monday 1st October 2018, from 2pm – 4pm, at the Gosberton Public Hall in Gosberton.

Sessions then take place on Monday 8th October in Saxilby, Thursday 11th October in Lincoln, Monday 15th October in Boston, Tuesday 16th October in Washingborough and Thursday 18th October in Scotter. All sessions are from 2pm – 4pm.

  1. Hi there,

I work for a local children’s charity and we are looking into ideas around inter generational interaction. is this something we could have a chat about in relation to your community cuppa and bid to decrease isolation please?

We have the Toy Library in Lincoln and would love to host a community cuppa!

      Hi Lucy

Thanks for your contact, at the moment our Community Cuppa project was a pilot and focussed in 6 particular areas in the county close to a local Co-op Foodstore. I’d be happy to chat with you in more detail about this, I’ll be in touch. Thanks, Samantha
