We have pleasure confirming our key speakers for the FREE Community Led Housing Conference, funding by the Nationwide Foundation, on Tuesday 11th September 2018 at Council Chamber, North Kesteven District Council, Eastgate, Sleaford, NG34 7EF from 10am to 4pm.
We have brought together a range of expertise on Community Led Housing (CLH) that will introduce delegates to why CLH is set to be so important in the future, how this approach can meet the needs of communities and what financial support is available.
- Andy Dean, Chief Executive, Community Action Northumberland (CAN) – Andy has led several schemes from conception to completion in both urban and rural locations;
- John Mather, Senior Enabler, East Midlands Community Land Trust – John has a wealth of knowledge in the East Midlands area of working with communities and facilitating successful delivery;
- Sarah Streater, Housing Delivery Manager, Homes England – Sarah will provide greater insight into Homes England and how they want CLH to be delivered and what financial commitment is available.
We will also be joined by Gail Jackson, CEO of Community Lincs, and information will be available on the Nationwide Foundation and ACRE; demonstrating what services and support can be provided.
Throughout the day we hope to have several case studies from completed schemes to share with delegates and there will be an opportunity to hear from a Local Authority that has supported a CLH initiative.
As well as networking opportunities there will be plenty of chances to speak with the groups responsible for planning and delivering CLH.
The overall aim of the day is to provide an opportunity for landowners, agents, local authorities and housing developers to consider CLH as a valid and valuable way of delivering new homes which can meet the needs of local communities.
