Getting Women Back into Work in Lincolnshire
The Succeeding Together project is part of a wider range of support available in Lincolnshire through the 3 Year MOVE project, made possible by funding from the EU European Social Fund and the Big Lottery.
All the support offered through the project is free to access and is independent of Job Centre Plus.
The project will support women all over the county to establish a business or get back into the workplace.
Helping Women Start Their Own Business in Lincolnshire
If you have ever thought about setting up your own business then the Succeeding Together project could be just what you’re looking for!
It doesn’t matter whether you have a business idea or not, the aim of the project is to help you decide whether setting up your own business is right for you and to show you what you need to do to set up and run a successful business.
We run a series of 5 workshops at various venues across the county. Initially there is a 2 hour 1 to 1 session to help identify what support you need. The workshops will look at different aspects of starting your business including how to set up your business, how to write a business plan, market research, networking, finances and much more.
There will also be support between workshops via email from the Project Officer and peer support via a closed Facebook group.
The next round of workshops will be starting in September 2017 and the 1 to 1 sessions will be booked in between now and September.
Back Into Employment
If you are ready to get back to work but are finding that maybe a lack of confidence, child care and transport issues might be a barrier then the Succeeding Together project might be for you!
The project will provide monthly developmental workshops to assess your individual needs, provide advice on confidence building, putting together your CV, writing applications, attending interviews and more. The workshops will usually be from 10am to 12.00pm to fit around school runs and other caring responsibilities and will be held at venues close to you.
You will also have access to the online job search tool My WorkSearch, which includes a very useful advice centre to help you look for jobs, decide what your transferrable skills are, finance, keeping confident and much more.
There is plenty of support out there and we can help you find it!
Eligibility for the Succeeding Together Project
To be eligible to take part the project you need to be not employed or self-employed at present and be legally able to work in the UK.
