50 Years of Success
The Community Lincs’ Board and staff are proud to have been associated with the Lincolnshire Best Kept Village and Small Towns Competition over the last fifty years. Without the many hundreds of volunteers who helped to judge or to prepare their towns and villages for entry, it would not have been the success that it has.
Equally without the support of the County and District Councils and the sponsorship from Pennell’s Garden Centres, we would not have been able to provide the beautiful plaques, trees and benches as prizes for the winners. The competition is a good example of the power of collaborative working from community right up to county level.
An Online Legacy
Community lincs has captured the story of the competition’s past fifty years in a Heritage Lottery Funded project.
